Students share their birthday with food bank
Everyone loves to celebrate their special day and Brookwood School students in grades 3 through 5 are helping Thomas County Food Bank clients celebrate their birthdays.
Students use accumulated Accelerated Reader (AR) points to share some birthday joy! Happy Birthday Bags are purchased with the AR points and are filled with a cake mix, a tub of icing, candles, a birthday banner, squawkers and a handmade birthday card.
Brookwood School Librarian, Mrs. Jackie Crew, has taken more than 150 bags to the Food Bank and hopes that everyone who visits the Food Bank during 2018 will receive a Happy Birthday Bag.
