At Brookwood, we believe that a strong academic curriculum and dedicated faculty, complemented by innovative technology, prepare students to be leaders and lifelong learners in our rapidly evolving world.
Beginning in the Lower School, students learn with iPads to enhance fine and gross motor skills and begin letter recognition. As students progress, MacBooks are introduced in the upper elementary grades along with keyboarding, research skills, and email etiquette.
As students advance through the middle grades, technology becomes a tool for creativity, problem-solving, and design. Middle School students use emerging technologies — including artificial intelligence — to brainstorm, model, and prototype their own solutions to real world problems, learning how to turn ideas into tangible outcomes through experimentation and iteration.
In the Upper School, our one-to-one MacBook Pro program continues to enhance learning and research. Students apply technology in sophisticated ways — such as using data-collection tools and sensors to gather and analyze information during science experiments, mirroring real-world scientific inquiry. Across subjects, students collaborate with peers and experts around the country through video conferencing, expanding their perspective and communication skills beyond the classroom walls.
Our wireless network allows for fast and efficient student and faculty collaboration from anywhere on campus, and our teachers continue to lead by example. Faculty members attend programs across the country to remain at the forefront of the latest trends and teaching tools that support our vision for 21st-century learning.
Brookwood School is proud to be recognized as an Apple Distinguished School through 2025 — a reflection of our commitment to innovation, creativity, and purposeful integration of technology in every classroom.
