THOMASVILLE — Behind the legs of Holland Walker and Jonathan Burns, Brookwood’s soccer teams were victorious against Bainbridge’s JV squads on Monday night, with the girls and boys winning 10-0 and 3-0, respectively.
The Warriors girls put their game away early, with three goals in the match’s first 10 minutes. Walker notched an early hat trick, scoring all three of those goals with assists from Jessie Wortman and Peyton Middleton.
Wortman and Jordan Thompson ended the first half with goals of their own to put Brookwood up 5-0. In the second half, Caroline Elkins, Crichton Bryan, Olivia Enright and Mary Dodys all scored for the Warriors.Much like Walker did with the girls, Burns scored three goals in the first half for Brookwood’s boys. The first went through the hands of Bainbridge’s goalkeeper, and the second went into the right corner of the net. Brookwood will travel to Hahira to play Valwood for its first region games of the year on Wednesday.
