Brookwood students get feats of clay

Gary Hawkins and Rebecca Frey of Gower House Studio stopped by Brookwood School on Tuesday morning to demonstrate wheel throwing and kick-off Lower School’s “Month of Clay” in the Art Studio.Gower House Studio is a pottery studio in Nashville, Tennessee. They concentrate on functional pottery wares for the home kitchen and have been in business for close to 20 years. The vessels that were created during this demonstration will be glazed by first grade students and available for purchase at the Empty Bowls Full Hearts event on February 2.
