Lady Warriors defeat Echols County

The Brookwood Warriors girls soccer team took down Echols County on Monday night. It was a true domination by the Warriors who outscored and outplayed the Wildcats at every turn, scoring 10 goals while shutting the Echols offense down completely.

The girls achieved their dominant victory over the Wildcats in just 66 minutes as the game ended 14 minutes early due to the Lady Warriors tenth goal of the game. The Brookwood girls has six different goal scorers in the game.

Hutton Daniel, Waverly Waldrep and Kate von Hellens all scored one goal, while Courtney Wolsfelt and Sara Cameron Sullivan each had two goals. Von Hellens also secured a pair of assists. To go along with her two goals, Sullivan’s passing game was on full display. She had multiple set up passes that were turned away by the Echols goalie, but there was no doubt she was finding her mark.

But it was senior Bosie Miles who led the Lady Warriors in goals with a terrific hat trick that included a stellar strike from the corner.

After Brookwood’s tenth goal of the game, the game was called with 14 minutes left with the Lady Warriors up 10-0.

The Lady Warriors spent the vast majority of the game on the attack. They completely shut down the Wildcats offense, taking the ball away almost immediately and rarely allowing Echols to cross midfield. Goal keeper Maggie Claire Richardson didn’t face many shots due to the Brookwood’s excellent offense, but what she did face she turned away, not allowing a single goal for Echols.
