Brookwood takes down Dominion Christian in a playoff battle

The Brookwood Warriors had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Dominion Christian by a score of 42-34 on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Dominion Christian still got an impressive performance from Emory Maiyer, who scored 26 points along with five steals. Maiyer is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Johnson, who scored six points along with 14 rebounds and four blocks.

Brookwood's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Dominion Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 19-9.

Brookwood will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Lakeview Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 23rd. Lakeview Academy will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Brookwood surely won't give up without a fight. Dominion Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
