Algebra students take math outdoors

Thomasville Times-Enterprise, Staff Report
THOMASVILLE -Brookwood Upper School’s Algebra 2 class just wrapped up their unit on trigonometry. To get a real world perspective on how trigonometry  might be used, students were tasked with measuring a few of our buildings and landmarks on campus with just a surveyor’s wheel, protractor, and the tangent function. Students had a lot of fun bringing the classroom outdoors and finding everyday uses for their hard work in the classroom.
