Culbreth, Cook win SGJT Divisions at Brunswick
In terrible conditions with wind, rain, and a soaked course, Brookwood Warrior golfers JD Culbreth and Kat Cook both won their divisions at this week’s SGJT Tournament in Brunswick.
Cook, a Junior committed to Florida State University, won the female division going away by an incredible 15 strokes over 2nd place. She used a 4-under 68 in Saturday's first round to jump out to a big lead.
Culbreth won the Male 14-15 age division, shooting 73 and 75, for +4 on the weekend. He won with a Birdie on a sudden death playoff hole after finishing in a 3-way tie through the 36-hole tournament. Culbreth's two-day total was also good 2nd overall in the 14-19 age division among 80 players.
