Brookwood’s Moore helps Young Harris reach Division II championship round
Brookwood alumna Dara Moore and the Young Harris College softball team fell in the final consolation round game of the NCAA Division II championship.
The Mountain Lions opened with a 9-4 win over LIU Post before losing 3-1 to Texas A& M Kingsville.
Young Harris bounced back with a 4-0 win over West Chester but fell in the consolation finale to eventual national champion Augustana (S.D.) 5-0.
Moore appeared in 31 games and batted .309 with 10 RBIs in her freshman season.
Moore was the 2017 AAA-3 Region Player of the Year and led the Lady Warriors to the playoffs in her senior season.
