The Brookwood School Class of 2026 dedicated their senior yearbook, The Warrior, to Mr. Louis Schofill. Schofill has been a valued member of the Brookwood community for the past five years, making an impact on students across all three divisions.
Senior yearbook staff members shared that Schofill holds a particularly special place in the hearts of the senior class, as they were among the first students he taught at Brookwood. Known for his enthusiasm and willingness to jump in wherever needed, he is always ready for the next adventure—whether that means chaperoning a field trip, supporting students backstage during school productions, or coaching and encouraging student-athletes.
“[Schofill] livens up the days of students and co-workers with his consistent humor and sarcasm,” the senior class shares. “From his quick wit and sarcasm to his wide-ranging knowledge of current events and genuine interest in his students’ lives, he makes every day more engaging for those around him. He shows up for our community in countless ways.”
In addition to his work in the classroom, Schofill is a familiar and spirited presence at athletic events, where his lively sideline commentary has become a favorite among students, faculty, and parents alike.
The yearbook dedication has been a tradition at Brookwood School since 1971. Selected by the senior class, the honor recognizes a faculty or staff member who has made a lasting and meaningful impact on the school community.
Located in Thomasville, GA, Brookwood School is a private school for grades JK-12. Students benefit from a challenging academic program, fine and performing arts, competitive athletics, and a wide selection of extracurricular activities.
