ORLANDO – After a year to remember, Mason Howell was named Male Amateur of the Year by Golfweek Magazine on December 27th.
The Brookwood senior won over Jackson Koivun, the top-ranked amateur in the world, David Ford and last year’s winner Luke Clanton for the honor.

The win earned him a spot on the U.S. Walker Cup team where he went 2-0-1, helping the U.S. team claim the cup.
Recently, Howell signed his letter of intent to the University of Georgia and received an invite to compete in the 2026 Masters Tournament in Augusta, Ga. On April 9-12.
