Brookwood Hosts College Fair for Upper School Families
Brookwood School recently welcomed representatives from seven colleges and universities for a college fair open to Upper School students and their parents. The event provided families with an opportunity to connect directly with admissions representatives, ask questions, and learn more about programs, campus life, and the application process.
Representatives from the University of Alabama, Georgia College, Georgia Southern University, Mercer University, the University of Tennessee, Vanderbilt University, and Wofford College spent the evening meeting with students and sharing insights about their institutions. The fair offered a valuable chance for students to begin exploring potential college pathways and gather helpful information as they plan for the future.
The event began with remarks from Director of College Counseling Dr. Jeremy Kasten, who encouraged students to take advantage of opportunities to build relationships with admissions representatives and thoughtfully consider their next steps after graduation.
“This is one of my favorite events of the year,” says Kasten. “It’s a great opportunity for our students to learn about the wide range of colleges and universities available to them while also building relationships with admissions counselors. Those conversations help make what can sometimes feel like an opaque and intimidating process much more human and accessible.”
The event concluded on a high note, with admissions representatives praising students’ thoughtful questions and strong interpersonal skills.
Located in Thomasville, GA, Brookwood School is a private school for grades JK-12. Students benefit from a challenging academic program, fine and performing arts, competitive athletics, and a wide selection of extracurricular activities.
