THOMASVILLE -- Brookwood School’s One Act production of “Alice” won the GISA AA Region Championship. One Act productions were performed on Wednesday, October 28, at the Thomasville Center for the Arts. Brookwood’s cast and crew will advance to the state competition on November 11 at Brenau University. The production is adapted by Lindsey Price and originally written by Lewis Carroll.
Additional honors won at the competition include Best Set awarded to the school’s Foundations of Innovations class led by instructor Mike Mock and set artists Brennan White ‘28, along with Best Performance awarded to Edie Crocker ‘30, who played the March Hare.
Director Tara Lynn Steele shared, “We are so excited to represent Brookwood at the State One Act Competition. These girls have put in the work and developed these wonderfully kooky characters. I can't wait to watch them bring Alice to life at State and demonstrate our personal theatrical flair. I have so enjoyed watching them stretch themselves and grow during this process. I couldn't have made it happen without each one of them or without the support of Mike Mock, Louis Schofill, and Andrew Busenlener."
