Warriors Compete at Yellow Jacket Invitational
THOMASVILLE -- The Brookwood Cross-Country Team competed at the Yellow-Jacket Invitational on Saturday, August 29th. Here are the highlights:
- Freshman Niko Williams finished 5th overall for the Boys Varsity Team, setting a new personal best time of 18:09. He was followed by teammates Ryder Hanke, who placed 24th with a time of 20:56, and Beau Posey, who placed 75th with a time of 25:36.
- The Girls Varsity Team was led by Savannah Posey, who placed 21st with a time of 26:24, followed by Olivia Mizell (30th) and Kennedy Horne (51st).
- The Middle School Girls Cross-Country Team continued their winning streak, taking 1st place for the second consecutive meet at this weekend’s Yellow Jacket Invitational. The Girls Middle School Team placed 1st out of 11 teams. The Lady Warriors had four athletes in the top 15, led by Joan Brinkley, who placed 2nd overall in the Girls 2 Mile Run, followed by teammates Karsyn Barker (6th), Ellie Schweikert (10th), Lane Brinkley (13th), Olivia Wulff-Rebull (24th), and Marley Hanke (34th).
- The Boys Middle School Team finished 6th out of 19 teams. Noah Carter placed 13th out of 191 runners in the Boys 2-Mile race, followed by Eddie Schweikert (16th), Wade Brunson (29th), Hank Howell (84th), and Nolan Duncan (94th).
