Brookwood Celebrates the Start of the 2027-27 School Year

Brookwood School welcomed 65 new students this week, bringing total enrollment to 500 for the 2026–27 school year. Students and faculty returned to campus eager to explore a year full of academic endeavors, creative projects, and the return of community traditions. Seniors started their last first week of school with new parking spaces and hand-painted “senior jeans.” Middle School students returned to the halls in their new uniforms, excited to reconnect with friends and teachers. From the youngest Junior Kindergarten learners to the new senior class, the start of the 2026-27 school year was filled with smiles, reunions, and a shared sense of excitement for the year ahead. As Brookwood continues to prioritize educational innovation and student success, several new faculty members have joined the community across various divisions as well. The Lower School welcomes Rosie Notaro, Abby Sinclair, Katie Zolt, Haley Shorb, Lesley Grimes, and Bo Stallings. In the Middle and Upper Schools, new faculty members include Eric Elkins and Charles Scott. Payton Dancsecs joins the school in the Advancement Office, while Matt Young and Mike Mock join the Brookwood Facilities team. These professionals bring diverse experiences and a shared commitment to inspiring and challenging Brookwood students. With a year of excitement ahead, the Brookwood community looks forward to building on its strong traditions while embracing new opportunities.
