Mason Howell appreciating every moment of Masters opportunity

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Brookwood senior Mason Howell was an early arrival in Augusta for the Masters, an invite from winning the U-S Amateur last summer, and he caught the eye of some former champions.
“I know about his game,” said Bubba Watson, a two time Masters champion. “His game is phenomenal. Looking forward to saying hey to him.”
The moment is obviously a big one for Howell, he’s the youngest in the field, and it’s one he’s taking in day by day.
“I can’t wait for the week to get started, but I know when it does it’ll be gone in the blink of an eye. I wish it would honestly slow down. Just trying to soak it all in.”
The first round of the the Masters is set for Thursday.
Located in Thomasville, GA, Brookwood School is a private school for grades JK-12. Students benefit from a challenging academic program, fine and performing arts, competitive athletics, and a wide selection of extracurricular activities.
