Brookwood students run 5th Annual Ikidarod

Thomasville Times-Enterprise, Staff Report
THOMASVILLE -- For the past five years, Brookwood School Upper School and Lower School students have collaborated to produce a reenactment of the Alaskan dog sled race, the Iditarod. The Brookwood version of the Ikidarod pairs second grade students with students in the Foundations of Innovation (FOI) Upper School class to design and build a kid-pulled sled. The sleds must be light and agile but sturdy enough to carry a musher. In early March, students gathered in Warrior Stadium for their race.
