Track Has Good Showing at Region Meet, Girls Take Runner-Up as Team

Last week's Region Track Meet was a success for Warrior Track & Field as multiple Warriors won events. As a team, the Lady Warriors took runner-up for the second year in a row. 

Kurtis Brown took 1st Place in Boys High Jump, while Ella Grace Squires won the Girls 200m. Brown will look to defend his State Championship in High Jump next week. Squires was the star of the day for Brookwood, qualifying for the State Meet in four different competitions. Jordan Thompson advances in her two Field competitions, the High Jump and Triple Jump.

Ella Grace Squires - 3rd in 100m, 1st in 200m, 3rd in High Jump
Peggy Boltja - 4th in 400m
Elise McPherson - 3rd in 3200m
Crichton Bryan - 4th in 100-hurdles
Trinity Geertz - 3rd in 300-hurdles
Jordan Thompson - 2nd in High Jump, 4th in Triple Jump
Ann Murray Jackson - 4th in Discus.
