Warrior Clay Target Takes First Place
ALBANY --   The 2026 Brookwood Warriors came out on top in the team competition at Flint Skeet and Trap in Albany, Ga. on August 29th. After three different rounds, trap, skeet, and sporting, respectively, the Warriors defeated six other schools. The final sporting scores ranged from 161 to 185.

When asked how he felt regarding the team's performance, Coach Alex McHugh said he was “more excited for them (the athletes) than anything. I’m big on the athletes having fun, enjoying the process, and focusing on one target at a time instead of comparing themselves to another team or chasing a certain number.”

Coach McHugh specifically brought mention to Rylan Shirley ‘27, who tied for the lead, Sam Jones ‘30, who set a personal record and tied Shirley for the lead, as well as Rylan Carle ‘30 and Edie Crocker ‘30, who also set personal records.

McHugh ended his comments by stating “Hopefully we can carry that momentum (from our successes) forward.” This looks like only the beginning of a very successful and memorable season for the Warrior Clay Target team.
