Brookwood School Celebrates Spirit and Tradition During 2026 Homecoming Week

THOMASVILLE -- Brookwood School celebrated its annual Homecoming Week with a full lineup of campus traditions, athletic victories, and community gatherings, bringing together students from Junior Kindergarten through 12th grade alongside alumni and families.

Throughout the week, students across all grade levels embraced themed dress-up days organized by the Student Government Association (SGA), including Favorite Destination Monday, Tacky Tourist Tuesday, Western Wednesday, Snooze Cruise Thursday, and Welcome Home, Warriors Friday. SGA members kept energy high across campus with daily skits and lunchtime competitions on the quad. Middle School students also joined in the friendly competition, taking on an advisory team cup-blowing challenge on Thursday and a lively game of dodgeball on Friday.

Midweek activities kicked off Wednesday evening with the annual Powderpuff football game, where the junior class earned a 31-0 victory over the seniors. Following the game, Middle School cheerleaders hosted the traditional "Burning of the B" rally on campus to build excitement for the weekend's games.

During the festivities, senior Brett Schofill '27 was named the 2026 Warrior Chief. Selected by his peers, Schofill was recognized for exemplifying the outstanding character, sportsmanship, and leadership that define the Warrior spirit.

Friday featured an all-school pep rally bringing together Lower, Middle, and Upper School students before the evening’s athletic events. Ahead of kickoff, Brookwood hosted an alumni reunion, welcoming past graduates back to campus to reconnect with former classmates and faculty.

On the field Friday night, the Warriors secured a 41-19 victory over Pataula Charter Academy. During a special halftime ceremony, senior Catherine Stewart '27 was crowned the 2026 Homecoming Queen. Known across campus for her exceptional kindness, warmth, and outstanding character, Stewart was celebrated by peers, faculty, and the entire Brookwood community.

The week's festivities highlighted the vibrant community spirit and rich traditions that continue to unite Brookwood School students, faculty, and alumni year after year.
