Sub-Varsity Football Recap

Thursdays provide great opportunity for the younger Warriors in the football program to get on the field and compete. Read the recap from yesterday's sub-Varsity action, as our Youth, Middle School, and JV teams all saw action.
JV

Warrior JV Football hosted Valwood, emerging with a 22-18 victory. The Warriors worked both Jacob Lauderdale and Jay Lewis at quarterback. In the first quarter, Lauderdale connected with Lewis, playing receiver, on five completions. A highlight from the first half was Jay Lewis, playing quarterback, finding Nathan Yokley for a 60 yard catch-and-run touchdown. Defensively, the secondary was strong throughout the game with Brewer Anderson, Turner Vick, and Marcus West consistently making plays in coverage.

Middle School

Middle School came away with a 26-16 win on the road in Americus, playing at Southland Academy.
Coach Cheney: "Unbelievable team effort. It was a very hard fought win. Proud of our team!"

Youth

Youth Football dropped their decision to Southland, losing 6 to 8 in a defensive battle. Owen Simmons pass to Rex Schofill was the Warriors' lone score.
