The Lady Warriors jumped out to an early lead, holding a 3-0 advantage going into the bottom of the fourth inning. A few Lady Knights hits and some breakdowns defensively by the Warriors led to a five run half inning for the home team and gave the Warriors another deficit to come back from.

In the top half of the sixth, the Warriors were able to do what they've done time and time again this season. Landry Joyner came through with a hard hit RBI to pull the Warriors within a run. After a balk by the Deerfield pitcher advanced all runners and scored another Warrior run, Ann Murray Jackson came through with an RBI to give Brookwood a 6-5 lead.

Later in the inning, with the bases loaded and two outs, Kelley Richardson sent a bases-clearing double to the wall. The three RBI gave the Warriors a decisive 9-5 cushion.

The Lady Knights would threaten in the final frame, loading the bases with only one out. Jessie Wortman mad a diving catch at shortstop for the second out. The next pitch saw a hard grounder back to Abby Lee at pitcher who completed the throw to first base for the game's final out.

The win gave the Warriors their fifth consecutive victory in Region play. It sets up a de-facto Region Championship for the regular season tomorrow with the rival Valwood Lady Valiants. The game will be at Fenlon Field at 5:00 p.m. after the conclusion of the Middle School game. The winner will clinch the regular season Region title and #1 seed in the Region tournament.
