Track & Field Competes at Tiftarea, Breaks 4x100 School Record!

The Brookwood Warriors Track & Field team competed in a meet hosted by Tiftarea Academy on Wednesday, breaking a school record in the Boys 4x100 relay event.

Tyler Cleveland, TJ Thomas, Rex Schofill, and Destin Moore combined for a time of 45.00 seconds, breaking the school record that was more than a decade old.

Destin Moore and TJ Thomas finished 1st and 2nd in the 100m dash, with Moore running a 10.71. This beat his 10.96 State Champion time from last season.

Kent Grayson won the 3200m, 1600m, and 800m on Wednesday. Grayson is now running a sub-5 minute mile. Schofill, Cleveland, and Clark Carter finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the 400m race with times ranging from 55.40 seconds to 55.82.

On the girls side, the sprints were also a strong point with Carriyona Williams and Abby Stalvey finished 1st and 2nd in the 100m dash. Williams ran 13.6 and Stalvey finished with 13.76.

Stalvey, Williams, Libby Jacobson, and Ella Grace Squires combined on the 4x100 team to run 55.43 seconds, good for 1st place in Wednesday's meet.

High jump was yet again a strong event for the Lady Warriors, with Trinity Geerdts, Ella Grace Squires, and Libby Jacobson claiming the top 3 finishes.
