Egg-citing experiments at Brookwood

Thomasville Times-Enterprise, Staff Report
THOMASVILLE - Lower and Middle School classes at Brookwood have incorporated eggs on lab days in their science classes.

Eighth graders conducted the egg drop experiment where each student used engineering principles to create containers that will allow an egg to withstand a drop from Warrior Stadium bleachers. The experiment was in conjunction with their unit on Newton’s laws of motion.

Junior Kindergarten experimented with ramps in the classroom. Students took turns building various types of ramps like flat, short and steep, and used an egg to test the distance each ramp allowed the egg to travel.
