Brookwood 8th Grade visits Capital

Thomasville Times-Enterprise, Staff Report
Brookwood School's eighth-grade class recently returned from an extended visit to our nation's capital. Students spent five nights and six days touring Washington, D.C. and areas of importance including Mount Vernon and the Pentagon. They also participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington Cemetery, and visited all the monuments and memorials during an evening tour.  Students attended services at the National Cathedral and furthered their study of the Holocaust at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.  In addition to ice skating at the National Gallery of Arts sculpture garden, the group saw a Washington Capitals game, hung out in Chinatown, and took a selfie with Senator David Perdue!
