THOMASVILLE: The Brookwood School Cross Country team had a strong and impressive start to their season on Saturday at the Sherwood Around the Cross Invitational, at Sherwood Christian Academy in Albany, Ga. The varsity girls started the morning off working hard and together placing 4th as a team. Olivia Mizell ‘29 placed 13th overall with a time of 26:53 minutes. The varsity boys ran great times and placed well individually -- Wesley Warren ‘27 led the team with a 4th place finish overall with the time of 18:30.29 minutes. Both Middle School boys and girls teams placed first overall.
The varsity clay target team also participated in the first meet of the season Saturday at Flint Skeet and Trap. McKenzie White ‘27 and Brock Roark ‘27 both shot perfect rounds. The team took second place overall and will shoot again September 6.
