Record Breaking Performances

On Friday, October 6, 2023, the Brookwood Warriors of Thomasville had an exciting 59-56 win over Deerfield in Albany. In a game where there were nine lead changes, the Warriors were trailing 56-53 and Deerfield faced a 4th and 7 with under two minutes remaining. Brookwood got a stop and took over with no timeouts remaining at their own 45 yard line with one minute and seventeen seconds remaining. Rodge Waldrop went six for eight on this final drive which was a clinic for one minute offense. Rex Schofill’s fourth catch of the drive and twenty fifth catch of the game gave the Warriors the ball on the three yard line. With the clock ticking with under 25 seconds to go in regulation, Waldrop found Seth Boggs on a rub route and Boggs reached over the pylon to score to put Brookwood up 59-56 with 16.2 seconds remaining. Brookwood would go on to win in one of the more thrilling games you will ever see.  The following records were broken in the game:
