Brookwood Student Leaders Unite for Service Project and Retreat Kickoff

Brookwood School’s Student Government Association has officially launched the school year with dedication to leadership and service.

To open the academic year, SGA members rolled up their sleeves to give back to the community by cleaning The Thomasville History Center, demonstrating their belief in service first leadership.

Following the service project, the SGA hosted a retreat at Myrtlewood Plantation, where students participated in engaging team building exercises and leadership activities designed to foster communication and creative problem solving.

During the retreat, students devised skits to unveil the Homecoming Court and Warrior Chief Court, a spirited way to honor tradition and celebrate emerging student leaders. These students were selected for their embodiment of Brookwood’s values.

This year’s Homecoming Court includes Juliette Rhodes ‘27, Eva Nicholson ‘26, Lulu Watkins ‘26, Avery Tate ‘26, Avery Bentley ‘26, Eliza Rosser ‘28, and Annabel Lanier ‘29.

Representing the Warrior Chief Court are David Flowers ‘26, James Mizell ‘26, Mason Brunson ‘26, Pearce
Hightower ‘26, and Briggs Daniel ‘26.

The SGA is particularly focused on serving the school and the wider community, with plans to sponsor class-led service projects throughout the year. The retreat provided an excellent foundation for what promises to be an exciting and impactful school year.
