After frustrating and disappointing road losses on Tuesday night to start Region play, both Warrior programs came out Friday night focused and determined to right the direction of their seasons. With a packed house in the Beverly Athletic Center, the Lady Warriors got the night started with a full-court press blitz of the Lady Knights.

After a tight first quarter, the Lady Warriors broke it open in the second frame with a 20-6 run forcing multiple Deerfield turnovers. Holland Walker and Mollie Vick were the sparkplug, frustrating the Deerfield ballhandlers. With a 38-18 halftime lead, the Warriors continued to pull away in the second half behind balanced production throughout the roster. Erin Lewis, Jordan Thompson, and Holland Walker went for 20, 19, and 17 points respectively in the win. Mollie Vick was the facilitator, dishing out 12 assists.

A buzzer-beating shot by Sam Barrett to end the first half gave the Warriors a 23-18 lead going into the lockerroom. The back and forth third quarter ended with a bang, as Skyler Jones hit back-to-back 3-pointers to extend the Warrior lead. JP Chapman led the team with 6 assists in the 55-49 win.
