Thursdays provide great opportunity for the younger Warriors in the football program to get on the field and compete. Read the recap from yesterday's sub-Varsity action, as our Youth, Middle School, and JV teams all saw action.
JV Football hosted Terrell Academy at Warrior Stadium, playing to an 8-8 tie. The game was called at Halftime due to a tremendous storm rolling in. The Warriors and Eagles played the back half of the second quarter in a scene that could be described as the Mud Bowl. Nathan Yokely scored the lone touchdown for the Warriors.
Middle School Football traveled to Dawson to play at Terrell Academy. Camden Harbin was a standout with multiple touchdown runs. Rodge Waldrop connected with TJ Thomas on a long touchdown pass, as the Warriors won big by the final score of 38-14.
Youth also won on the road at Terrell Academy, winning 26-14. Touchdowns were scored by Owen Simmons, Julian Redrupp, and Rex Schofill. Coach Cheney: "Great team effort! Every single player on the team contributed in the win."
