Girls Soccer Dominates Valwood in 4-0 Win
The Lady Warriors were dominant Wednesday night in their defeat of the Lady Valiants, taking a 1-0 halftime lead before opening it up in the second half with three more goals.
Ryan Gaston gave the Warriors their start for the night, scoring an impressive shot off her left foot into the bottom corner of the net. To start the second half, Gaston assisted a Holland Walker header to expand the lead to 2-0.
Less than two minutes of game action later, Walker scored again. This time from a Jessie Wortman assist. To finish off the scoring, Senior Mazie Barrett put in a Penalty Kick after being taken down.
The win improved the Warriors to 10-4-1 in the regular season and secured a 2nd place finish in GISA AAA Region 3. The Warriors will next host a playoff match next week.
