The Warriors fell behind 1-0 in the Bottom of the 1st inning, but quickly rebounded in the top half of the following frame when William Lee's RBI single scored Tyler Mirick to even the score.

Brookwood again fell behind by a run, but knotted another tie at 2-2 with Nick Knifer drawing a bases-loaded walk to score Will Cook from third. Knifer was up to bat with the bases loaded yet again in the Top of the 5th, and took advantage. His single scored Jacob Atkinson from third base and gave the Warriors a 3-2 advantage.

Momentum continued to swing back and forth, as the Knights took the lead 4-3 lead on a Brookwood error. However, the resiliency by the Warriors was impressive with Lance Wortman battling out an fielder's choice to score Marcus West and once again even the game at 4-4.

In the bottom of the 6th inning, Daniel Atkinson made a game-changing, highlight-reel catch at the fence to end the inning and preserve a tie score.

The momemtum carried into the top half of the final frame, with a combination of Knights errors allowing Tyler Mirick to score all the way from first and give the Warriors a 5-4 lead.

Jacob Lauderdale came in for the save in the bottom of the 7th. With Deerfield having runners at 1st and 3rd with 1 out, the Warriors won the game on a 6-4-3 double play to finish it off.

The 2-game set will pick up at home on Friday afternoon at 4:30, with a JV game afterward.
