Green receives two VSU scholarships

Ashley Green '14 receives two scholarships to finish out her senior year of the theatre production track at VSU. 
THOMASVILLE —Ashley Green is the recipient of two scholarships at Valdosta State University.
Green received the $l,000-a-year Odum Scholarship each year throughout her time at VSU. The scholarship is provided from funds donated to the university by the late John and Gertrude Odum. Mrs. Odum was a professor of English at VSU for many years and a supporter of academic excellence.
The VSU Golden Circle Theatre Scholarship is awarded to theatre majors based on a combination of academic achievement and audition or portfolio presentation. Green will receive $1,500 in scholarship award money her senior year.
Green, a 2014 Brookwood School cum laude graduate, is in her senior year of the theatre production track at VSU, where she has been both a lighting designer and master electrician for various theatre and dance performances.
She was employed as the master electrician by the New London Barn Playhouse in New London, New Hampshire, this summer, where Broadway-style productions included “West Side Story,” “On Golden Pond,” “Ah Shook Up” and “Godspell,” among others. The New London Barn Playhouse produces vibrant theatre created by emerging artists in collaboration with accomplished professionals from around the country during the summer months.
Green is a daughter of Jim and Laura Green and granddaughter of Marshall and Linden Dunaway
