After falling behind 13-0 early in the 1st Quarter, the Warriors settled in and dominated the rest of the way. A Patriots' double-pass trick play for a long touchdown, combined with a Warrior special teams mistake on the ensuing drive, led to Marshall's lead.

Preston Young's first of two interceptions on the night swung the momentum back to Brookwood's favor. Vincent Yokely's first of three rushing touchdown's pulled the Warriors within a score. One possession later, on 4th and 12, the Warriors gambled and came up big. Joe Parker's 42-yard touchdown pass to Kurtis Brown put the Warriors in front, where they stayed the rest of the night. A Tyler Clark field goal, followed by another Parker to Brown 8-yard touchdown through the air put the Warriors in front 25-13 at halftime.

The second half was more of a rushing attack, as Yokely added his second and third rushing touchdowns (he also had two interceptions defensively). Hill Turner finished off the scoring with a 17-yard TD burst at the beginning of the 4th Quarter.

Lance Wortman went over 100 yards receiving on the night to go with his fumble recovery on defense. In the end, the defense finished the game with seven takeaways. Carson Allen led all tacklers with 11, Hill Turner contributed 8 tackles and a fumble recovery.

Coach Shane Boggs noted, "It was a solid win against a team that went 12-1 last year. We made a lot of mistakes but we have a cohesive team that stayed the course. I was impressed by the leadership displayed by our players. Our defense had 7 takeaways and our offense scored 45 points. We had a good night from our special teams as well. I am extremely proud of the resilience shown by our players and coaches!"

The team will travel again on Friday to face Terrell Academy in Dawson, Georgia.
