Brookwood School welcomed back four special individuals to induct them into its athletic hall of fame on Tuesday night.
The first inductee was Christy McMillan. An excellent athlete across basketball, softball, and track and field. She earned All-Region honors in back-to-back seasons on the softball field, and on the court, she helped lead the team to a runner-up finish in 2007 and a Final Four run in 2008. However, she made her biggest mark in track, winning six state titles across the triple jump, long jump, 4x400 relay, and 300m hurdles. McMillan also broke school records in the triple and long jump, which she holds to this day.
The next inductee was Dr. Chris Jarrett. Jarrett excelled in both basketball and football, earning AllRegion and All-State honors in both. He set the single-game scoring record in basketball at Brookwood with a 44-point performance in the Region Tournament. Following his athletic career, he earned his bachelor's from Valdosta State and went on to earn his doctorate at the University of St. Augustine. After earning his PhD, Jarrett returned to Thomasville and founded Brookwood's Sports Medicine Program and played an essential role in helping the program thrive, whether caring for the student athletes on the sidelines or supporting Brookwood trainers as a mentor. He also co-owns Thomasville Physical Therapy, where he continues to provide care to the community.
The third inductee was Dr. Josh Reams. Making his mark on the gridiron, hardwood, and diamond. Reams earned All-Region and AllState honors across basketball, football, and baseball. On the football field, he played quarterback, free safety, and kicker. He was also Valedictorian of Brookwood's class of 1994. Going on to Sewanee, he played for four years as a wide receiver and graduated with a degree in Chemistry, and later earned his M.D. from Mercer University.
The final member to be inducted was Tommy Williams III. A man who loved Brookwood, Williams was a driving force to help strengthen the athletic, academic, and arts programs. He played a role in helping bring improvements to the athletic facilities, such as venue lighting, renovations to the baseball field, and providing teams with new uniforms. He also cheered on the Warriors at every game, supporting coaches and athletes in every sport. Williams' support for the school extended beyond athletics, having a hand in supporting drama plays, assisting in the concession stand, and helping Brookwood find a new headmaster. Williams was truly a Warrior at heart.
The program also recognized state championship teams of the past, honoring the 1975 football and golf teams, the 2020 girls basketball team, and the 2024 and 2025 golf teams.
