Brookwood School’s fifth grade leaders of the Lower School have proven themselves ready for Middle School. To mark the occasion, students participated in a graduation ceremony. The class sang “Lean on Me” by Bill Withers as a way to commemorate the bond that the class has. Each year, fifth grade students write an essay describing their favorite Lower School memories. This year, Kennedy Turner, Grant Greene, and Ben Burrus shared their memoirs at the ceremony. Fifth grade teachers Mrs. Lauren Harrell and Mrs. Kelli Zolt shared a farewell poem created to describe the unique personality traits of each member of the class. The program concluded with each student walking across the stage to receive their fifth grade graduation diploma from Headmaster Dr. Randy Watts.
Lean on Me: The Class of 2030 will enter Middle School with unforgettable memories and experience from their time in Lower School.
Next stop, Middle School: Grant Greene’s bus stop themed memoir recounts each grade level as a bus stop on the way to their next destination, Middle School.
