THOMASVILLE - Brookwood’s Middle School students have been hard at work in their English and language arts classes this year. After both seventh and eighth grade finished their novels, the classes participated in fun novel-themed activities.
Seventh graders celebrated reading S. E. Hinton’s The Outsiders by dressing up as either Greasers or Socs. During the English and language arts blocks, students had an in-school field trip of watching “The Outsiders” movie as a class in costume.
Eighth grade recently finished up Animal Farm by George Orwell. Since their novel took place on a farm, the class took a tour of Pebble Hill Plantation and had a BBQ lunch in the courtyard. While at lunch, students participated in discussion questions pertaining to the novel.
The Class of 2027 put on their best Greasers and Socs outfits after they finished reading The Outsiders.
Mrs. Unglaub’s advisory group is team “Greasers!” Left to Right: Brianna Lenz, Audrey Flowers, Catherine Stewart, Juliet Rhodes, Ava Bodell, Aubrey Jones, Taylor Stalvey, and Reagan Burrus, all of the Class of 2027
