State Champions! Warrior Golf Wins GISA in Brunswick with Historic Performance

Brookwood Golf won the GISA State Tournament in Brunswick on Monday! The win is the first State Championship for the program since 1984. This is the tenth State title in Warrior Golf history, adding to nine others won throughout the 1970s and early 1980s.

Team depth was the group's strength this year. All five Warriors shot rounds of 76 or better, highlighted by Jack Boltja's 7-under day of 65. Boltja shot an incredible 28 on the back nine that included an Eagle and six birdies.

The GISA keeps archives on its website for Golf dating back to 2006. The team's score for the day of 290 is the best score in a State Tournament on record regardless of classification. Boltja's 65 is the best individual score in a State Tournament on record regardless of classification.

The win snapped Frederica Academy's streak of 13 state championships in a row.
