Dodys' essay wins state championship
THOMASVILLE -- Brookwood School senior Mary Dodys is the GISA AAA State Literary Champion in Personal Essay. After competing in the Region Literary meet in Americus earlier this month, Dodys advanced to the state competition which was held via Zoom. After receiving a variety of essay prompt options, Dodys selected to write about her father, attorney Nick Dodys, and his influence on her life and her own personal decision to pursue a career in law.
