The Warrior dedicated to Kasten

Thomasville Times-Enterprise, Staff Report
THOMASVILLE -- The Brookwood School Class of 2021 dedicated their senior yearbook, The Warrior, to Dr. Jeremy Kasten. Dr. Kasten has worked at Brookwood for six years as a Middle and Upper School Spanish teacher. Additionally, he is an assistant coach for football and girls basketball. In the past he has served as head tennis coach, and he leads a popular summer trip to Spain for juniors and seniors every other year. He will step into a new role beginning this summer as Director of College Counseling.

During the dedication, Yearbook Editor Abigail Middleton ‘21 shared that the senior class feels Kasten has raised them through their middle and high school years at Brookwood. “His spirited personality can always bring light and humor to any situation. The genuine friendships he forms with his students makes him that teacher everyone hopes they have one day.”

The Class of 2021 describes Kasten as genuine, down-to-earth, good-spirited, and witty. They appreciate how much he has supported them over the years, whether it’s through his passion for teaching Spanish or on the basketball court in the 2020 girls basketball State Championship game. They are thrilled to dedicate their senior issue of The Warrior to Dr. Jeremy Kasten, a helping hand to all in the Brookwood community.

The yearbook dedication has been a tradition at Brookwood School since 1971. It is an honor decided by the senior class.
