Lady Warrior Cross Country 3rd at Yellow Jacket Invitational

Warrior Cross Country had a great showing at the Yellow Jacket Invitational on Saturday, with the Girls Varsity finishing 3rd as a team out of 11 schools in the competition. Katie Knifer (7th, 27:04) and Emma Szwarc (10th, 27:44) led the way for the Lady Warriors. Peggy Boltja (13th, 28:33) and Mary Claire Chapman (16th, 29:58) also competed well, giving Brookwood a quarter of the Top 16 runners in the competition.

In the Boys Varsity race, Kent Grayson finished 9th out of 79 runners - competing as an 8th grader against older competition. In Girls Middle School, Abby Stalvey finished 2nd out of 29 runners in that race. Addison Gamble also finished in the Top 10, finishing 8th. James Mizell finished 10th in the Boys Middle School race, giving the Warriors six Top-10 finishers on the day across the four races.
