Brookwood teams take state runner-up finishes

On Tuesday, March 20, Brookwood School’s literary team members traveled to Gordon State College to compete in the GISA State Literary competition. Various members of the team won the region competition earlier in the month. Several students had success scoring in the top four in the state. Here are the following winners: 

Personal Essay:
Madeline Gordon third in state.
Argumentative Essay: Julia Johnson third in state.
Extemporaneous Speaking: Raleigh Rollins fourth in state.
Boys Quartet (Trenton Newman, Wyatt Whitfield, Landon Carter, Jackson Clendenin): state runner-up.
Girls Trio (Lilly Jackson, Lauren Ryan, Maryam Sibley): state runner-up.
