Brookwood girls dominate Valwood

Varsity girls defeat Valwood 69-30 
THOMASVILLE — Brookwood’s girls basketball team jumped ahead early and never looked back against region opponent Valwood, taking a dominant 69-30 win on Tuesday night.
The Warriors began the game with a 7-0 run and eventually took a 12-1 lead on an Erin Lewis 3 with 4:33 left in the first quarter. Lewis scored eight points in the first period of play, with two made shots from behind the arc. Brookwood led 20-7 going into the second quarter.
The game was never in doubt from that point, with the Warriors going into halftime up 31-12. Brookwood began the third quarter on a 23-7 run, which it had no trouble holding until the final led all Brookwood scorers with 21 points.
Lewis finished her night with 13, while Mollie Vick, Ann Murray Jackson and Eliza Eiford all had eight points apiece.
