John Daniel Culbreth and Mary Miller Named Champions of 32nd Sea Pines Junior Heritage

Today at Harbour Town Golf Links, John Daniel Culbreth of Thomasville, GA, posted a final round score of two-under par 69 to claim the title in the boys division. He had three birdies today and finished the tournament with an overall score of four-under par 139.
 
“I started off hitting the ball pretty good,” Culbreth said. “I had some good up and downs which kind of made things a little easier. It feels good to be the champion. It was a long two days so this is a really good feeling, and this win gives me a lot of confidence that I can close out a tournament.”
 
Davis Wotnosky of Wake Forest, NC, and Carson Bertagnole of Pinehurst, NC, each finished the tournament with an overall score of one-under par 142 to tie for second place in the boys division.
 
Mary Miller of Savannah, GA, finished the tournament with an overall score of two-under par 141 to be crowned champion of the girls division. She had two birdies today and posted a final round score of one-over par 72 to take home the title.
 
“I started off hitting it well,” Miller said. “It was exciting going into the back-nine because Madison and I were kind of going back and forth and I am just really happy to be the champion. The win hasn’t really hit yet, but I know it will tonight. This boosts my confidence a lot and it’s great to start off the year with a win.”
 
Madison Messimer of Myrtle Beach finished the tournament at four-over par 147 overall to take second place in the girls division.
