pair sign Wednesday Brookwood

THOMASVILLE – Brookwood will have two student athletes sign letters-of-intent on Wednesday to compete collegiately.

Catcher Zach Counts will sign with Gordon State, while softball player Kendall Boggs will sign with Emory & Henry to play softball in Virginia. The ceremony will be held at 8 a.m. in the Beverly Athletic Center Multi Purpose Room at Brookwood.

It is an exciting time for the school, says Shane Boggs, athletic director and Kendall's father.

“We've had a year where we've had 10 student athletes sign, and I expect there will be several more this year. We'll hold a signing day for Feb. 1 as well,” Boggs said. “Zach has just been a tremendous baseball player for us, both defensively and offensively. I can't say enough about how hard he's worked. I'm really proud of him. Kendall's been the utility player, pitching to catching to outfield; whatever we needed, and she's done a really good job hitting. She's worked hard to achieve this goal. I'm proud of both of them.”
