Brookwood’s Ava Cauley is an All-American

Senior Varsity Clay Target Team member Ava Cauley has been named to the National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) All-American Team as one of only eight ladies in the Scholastic Clay Target Program. This team is chosen from the hundreds of college and high school ladies across the country who accumulated the most points through placements in NSCA registered sporting clays events. Of the eight ladies named All-Americans, three were from Georgia, with Ava being the only one that is in high school. This is the second year Ava has been named an All-American. Her coach, Mike Simpson, had this to say, “Life is about choices. Ava has made a commitment to excellence in both her shooting sports career and academics. She’s been a joy to coach because she is focused on her dream of being the best. As her coach, I couldn’t be more proud.”

Brookwood’s Clay Target Team will have 16 Varsity members and eight JV members this year. Their season begins in August and will run through November. The team, led by Coach Mike, is looking forward to a competitive season and a strong run at a State Championship.
