Howell wins Future Masters, to play in U.S. Junior Am

THOMASVILLE — Brookwood School golf team member Mason Howell won the 2022 Future Masters 13-14 division at Dothan (Alabama) Country Club.

Howell, who lives in Tallahassee, Florida, and plays out of Glen Arven Country Club, Howell posted a three-day total of 11-under 199, four shots better than Tyler Watts of Huntsville, Alabama. Howell fired a 5-under 65 in the final round.

The field included 112 golfers from around the world.

Howell also qualified June 1 for the upcoming U.S. Junior Amateur, which will be played July 22-31 at Bandon Dunes, Oregon.

Howell also shot a course record 59 at Glen Arven on June 11.
