YMCA All-Star Teams Headed to State Tournaments
The 8U girls machine pitch team are the District 3 champs. They will play in the state tournament at the Clarence E. Morgan Complex in Springfield from June 21-25. Team members are Laniyah Banks, Kasey Barrow, Kate Baston, Kinlee Blalock, Millie Booker '33, Michaela Bowen, Hannah Kate Byce '33, Rossalyn Johnson, Addy Marsh, Kate Nix, Skylar Pinkins, Calie Rigdon and Kate Wilkerson. Coaches are Jason Blalock, Brandi Byce and Spencer Bowen.
The 8U boys coach pitch all-star team finished as District 3 runner-up and advanced to the state tournament, which will be held June 21-25 in Whitfield County. Team members are: William Chancey, Tyler Criswell, George Garbett, Cannon Johnson, Jackson Klock, Brooks McDougald, Tristan Mitchell, Connor Phillips, Bentley Singletary, McCall Thompson '32, Hagan Turk and Harris Vaughn '32. Coaches are head coach Justin Johnson and assistant coach Barry Singletary.
