Baseball Defeats Georgia Christian, 7-3

Brookwood Baseball climbed back to .500 on Monday, returning to action after multiple games last week were deterred by weather. The Warriors defeated Georgia Christian at home by the final score of 7-3.

Brookwood jumped out early in the Bottom of the 1st, with Chris May scoring from 3rd on a passed ball after he started things off the a lead-off double. In the Bottom of the 2nd, Camden Harbin's lead-off single and Rodge Waldrop getting hit by a pitch set up Saunder Dinkelman's 2-rbi double. Dinkelman came around to score later on Jaevyn Salter's ground ball, putting Brookwood up 4-0 through two innings of play.

Waldrop started the game on the mound and pitched 3 innings of perfect baseball, allowing no hits or walks to go with six strikeouts. Will Elkins pitched two innings of no-hit relief, also allowing no walks.

The 7-3 win moves Brookwood to 4-4 overall on the season, with Region play starting Thursday in Americus at Southland Academy.
