Brookwood Clay Target Finishes 2nd at Meet

The Warriors Clay Target Team traveled to Old Hudson Plantation in Sparta on October 23 for a meet hosted by Piedmont Academy.  The match consisted of 100 sporting clays and 50 skeet for a total of 150 targets. 

The team finished second in the five-team field.  The Warriors were led by sophomore Max Powers who shot an outstanding 47 out of 50 in skeet and 89 out of 100 in sporting for a total combined score of 136, Junior Parker Lee who shot a combined score of 130, and Junior Ava Cauley a 129.  Cauley shot the highest female sporting score of 86 and was second female overall by a 1 target margin. 

Other notable performances included a 47 out of 50 in skeet shot by Sophomore Bo Davis and Junior Varsity member Sam Bryant shooting a personal best of 45 out of 50 in skeet.   
 
This weekend many of the team will be in town competing in the Warrior Invitational at the Ranges at Oakfield. The Warriors travel to Ocmulgee Gun Club for the last match before the State Championship a week from this Saturday.
